An Online Japanese Language Teachers’ Training 2025 (バングラデシュ日本語ブラッシュアップ研修) organized by the Institute of Modern Languages (IML), University of Dhaka started on 6th October 2025. Japan Foundation expert and Visiting Lecturer of the IML Mr. FUKUI Tomoyuki is the trainer. This training series is expected to be continued till March 2027 periodically. The training is being conducted in collaboration with the Japan Foundation (JF), Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh (EoJ) and the Japanese Language Teachers’ Association of Bangladesh (JALTAB). Total 12 Japanese language teachers from various institutions are receiving the training; while 4 teachers from JALTAB also participating as observer.
The training inaugurated by Professor Dr. Mohammed Ansarul Alam, Coordinator of this training series. In his opening remarks Prof. Dr. Alam mentioned that this is the golden opportunity for the young and inexperienced teachers to learn basic teaching methods. Successful trainees will receive certificate jointly signed by the IML, DU and Japan Foundation representative. Professor Mohammad Absar Kamal Director (Acting) of IML is concerned about the training and providing all kinds possible supports with our limited resources.
